Like many artists, my love for art began as a child. Growing up in Dallas, I had the opportunity to briefly take part in the Graphic Arts program at Skyline Career Development Center before pursuing an education in computers. I went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas @ Arlington in Business Management Information Systems.
I worked in various sales roles in my professional career and before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I worked as an insurance agent serving the senior market. At that time, I realized I had a profound connection with members of that community.
While being home, caring for my children, my passion for art was reignited and I began painting again. That was over 10 years ago. Since then I have sold countless pieces of art nationwide, participated in art exhibitions, recognized in art publications, and have been honored by the NAACP as a commissioned artist. In that regard, art has become life.
My passion for creating led me to establish So Artsy! The Social Art Experience in February 2018. Art has given me the opportunity to connect with so many people. I am honored to share in each experience and look forward to connecting with so many more in the future.
